Taking off from historic Moffett Field, a former airship base from the early 1930’s, you will float with us over some of the largest freestanding structures on the planet including “Hangar One” which covers 8 acres!
Passing over NASA Ames Research Center, you will have a bird’s eye view of The Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel, a National Historic Landmark, and the National Full-Scale Aerodynamic Complex (NFAC). Heading west, we then fly over Mountain View and Palo Alto to Stanford University with its ochre colored campus and famous tower. As the suburban sprawl gives way to the hills that lead to the ocean, you will spot the two mile long Stanford Linear Accelerator, the longest in the world, before heading back to the airfield.

Airship Ventures Inc. has partnered with Mavericks Surf Ventures, Inc. (Mavericks) so fans of The 2009 Mavericks Surf Contest® will have the unique opportunity to view this year’s event from the the Zeppelin Eureka.
Weather-permitting, Eureka will run passenger trips in the sky throughout 2009/2010 Contest Day from Half Moon Bay Airport. Mavericks and Airship Ventures held a “maiden Mavericks voyage” from Moffett Field Friday, January 16 at 9 a.m., carrying contest surfers and guests over Mavericks for a bird’s eye view.
“We’re constantly looking for novel ways to offer Mavericks fans unique experiences,” commented Mavericks Surf Ventures CEO Keir J. Beadling. “Our official boat tours have always been very popular, and now Airship Ventures is allowing us to bring that experience to the next level."

Half hour flights will be available for $199 plus taxes from the Half Moon Bay airport on Contest Day beginning at 10 AM through 3 PM. The final flight begins at 2:15 PM for 45 minutes for $299 plus taxes.
