California Cruises

Your California Cruise will involve 8-10 hours in the air (depending on winds), giving you plenty of time to gaze at the amazingly varied views of California. Your route takes you partially down the coast and partially inland, so you will see everything from suburban sprawl and agricultural landscapes to ocean, mountains and forests.  Enjoy the company of our pilots, fellow passengers, and plenty of food and beverages in the comfortable gondola - not forgetting our restroom with a window!

This is perhaps the ultimate Zeppelin experience, and with only a few seats and a few dates per year, it is one of our most exclusive. Be warned, voyaging by Zeppelin can become addictive after a journey of this length!

Getaway to Monterey!

You board the Zeppelin for your breakfast cruise to Monterey and spend a couple of hours in the air, leisurely traveling southwards. Weather depending, you will either experience the coastal route where rugged cliffs, neat coves and dramatic oceanscapes will delight you, or you will follow civilization down past San Jose and towards Salinas and beyond. Flying over fields of flowers, fruit and vegetables is a remarkable experience! Maybe you’ll even spot an oil derrick! Your limo awaits once you arrive at the airport, to take you to Cannery Row and the famous Aquarium, or perhaps you have lunch reservations for some fresh seafood? After a fun day in Monterey, you will rejoin the airship for your cruise back home, either up the coast or inland, and watch as the sun starts to set and the Bay Area gets ready for the evening. After a long day of fun, and your champagne celebration, the smooth motion of the airship may just set you snoozing on the way back!

Day in the Life

When Airship Ventures flies from Oakland Airport, we have to get there from Moffett Field. We often have space on board to take an adventurer or two! If you want to see our flight preparations from Hangar 2 and see the airship operations prepare for a day away from our HQ then this is how to satisfy your curiosity. You’ll get to see the Bay Area from the air for anything up to two hours, depending on the traffic – on the ground! We need to wait for our crew to get to Oakland before we can land! Fly one way if you’ve friends in the East Bay that you can connect with, or take a round trip if you want to visit some of the museums in Downtown, or waterfront attractions at Jack London Square.
