Ground Crew Manager
Please inform us at the TOP of your cover letter if you are also willing to be considered for the
Assistant Manager position.
She's the size of a 747, but that's where the resemblance ends! Airship Ventures is seeking a Ground Crew Manager to be responsible for all activities related to ground operations handling of airship during launch and landing, the maintenance of all ground support equipment, provision of consumables, and the hiring, management and supervision of all ground crew. During the start up phase, the GCM will work closely with the Chief Pilot, ensuring that all ground operational procedures are developed and implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
Or in non job-speak, this means you have to be comfortable around massive specialist trucks, hazardous substances such as avgas, working on airfields in all weathers, keeping the right paperwork and not be above sorting out the chemical toilet.
While it will help if you have some previous experience in airship operations, it isn't essential. We are looking for a minimum of 3 years experience in aviation operations with supervisory or management experience and we recommend that you closely look at the job description before sending us your resume and cover letter to tell us why we should hire you.
You will need a valid passport as the successful applicant will have to spend several months this summer traveling in Europe with the airship prior to its arrival in the USA.
